Rosenheim, Germany
A family brewery since 1543, the Flötzinger Brewery is the oldest in Rosenheim and the only remaining private brewery in Upper Bavaria.
Owned by the Steegmüller family, the brewery runs a large Flötzinger festival tent each year with space for around 8,500 people and it’s considered to be the largest freely erectable marquee in Europe!
At the head of Flötzinger is Bräu Franz Steegmüller II, where he has been for over 60 years! He is supported by daughter Marisa Steegmüller and son-in-law Andreas Steegmüller-Pyhrr.
Flötzinger use only the best German hops from Tettnang and Hallertau are used in the brewing process and regionality is taken into account when selecting the malt too.
Flötzinger is now one of the few family breweries where craftsmanship is held in the highest esteem, If you walk through the brewery you’ll notice that people work here with hardly any machines.
