Where do you deliver?

We deliver pretty much ANYWHERE in the UK via Parcelforce. At the moment unfortunately we are unable to ship to The Republic of Ireland or to British offshore Islands Guernsey and Jersey.

How much is delivery?

To most of the mainland the delivery charge plus packaging is £5.99 on any order under £65 and free on orders over £65. Your beers are delivered next-day as standard.

Unfortunately for some further reaching destinations such as Northern Ireland, the British Isles and northern Scotland we have to charge a bit more to cover the increased costs charged to us. This is set at £8.99 for any spend over £65 and  £14.99 under this amount.

We cannot deliver to outside of the UK unfortunately.

Minimum order amount is £35 excluding postage.

How quickly do you deliver?

Our standard service is always next working day. We will get all orders placed before 1pm in the post that day for delivery next day unless there is a banner on the site stating delays. We would recommend buying in advance for time-sensitive orders.

Orders placed after 1pm each day will be posted the following day on next day service. If we are able we will always try to get boxes in the post early and sometimes we can post up to 4pm on a next day service but this is at our discretion.

IMPORTANT: You are not paying for next day delivery – WE ARE. Parcelforce’s delivery is stated as next day but without guarantees. We wish to offer a better service and keep beer fresh we foot the bill and the legwork for next day. We WANT you to get beer fast and are happy to take a hit on this cost for you. We don’t want beer sitting about in the delivery system – we would rather you have it! However because of this please do not be disappointed/angry/frustrated if we can’t get beer to you in the timeframe stated. We have a 95%+ delivery success rate but obviously there’s always the 5%. We could switch to a slower service and remove the headaches and expectation and charge more for a next day service but we don’t want to. But we also don’t want people feeling let down when there are disruptions on the network. We promise to get your order packed and in the post by 1pm each day on a next day service. That’s 100% guaranteed. We will always do our bit but then it’s down to the courier to do theirs which sometimes slips and it’s out of our control. Think of it as a 5 working day service we have upgraded to next day for free. Remember we are not Amazon – we are a team of three beer slingers doing what we can. Thanks for understanding.

Friday orders. We do not post on Friday for Monday. We don’t want beer in warehouses other than our own over the weekend. Any orders placed after 1pm on Thursday will be on a next day service on Monday for delivery Tuesday onwards.

Saturday service: We no longer offer this. It’s expensive and missed orders really add to the frustration.

Please don’t ask that delivery drivers call you as unfortunately they don’t have the time or the resources to get to you door and give you a call. You will get interactive texts that will allow you to get your beer to you before delivery so please check these.

Can it be left with a neighbour or safe place?

We really want you to get your beer on time so if you won’t be in, you can specify a neighbour or a safe place for this to be left. We aren’t able to guarantee that this will be left in a safe place – it’s at the discretion of the delivery driver. If you select either of these options you are accepting 100% responsibility for the delivery. We are unable to insure or refund any lost or missing boxes if “safe place or neighbour” is selected, sorry.


Tracking my beer…

You will receive an email from Craft Metropolis saying “Order complete” when the order has been despatched from us.

Your delivery will then be made through Parcelforce. By leaving your email and phone number they can contact you to let you know more about your delivery time and day. Your details will not be used or shared for any other purpose other than to get your beer to you on time.

Standard deliveries should be attempted within 1-2 working days of your dispatch email confirmation. If you are not in a card will be left by the delivery company with instructions on how to track and manage a redelivery. If you haven’t had any contact from Parcelforce 36 hours after placing your order and you do require a tracking number please ask us for this at oliver@craftmetropolis.co.uk

What if the delivery drivers miss me?

Parcelforce will attempt delivery three times in total (usually on consecutive days) before returning the parcel to the local depot for 7 days for you to collect. If no collection is made, the parcel will be returned to us.

If you’ve received a failed delivery attempt it is always best for you to contact the courier directly to rearrange delivery on a more suitable day.

I need to be over 18, right?

Yes, our couriers have been instructed only to hand deliver to someone who is over 18. We also operate a Challenge 25 Policy so if you look under 25 we will ask you to prove that you are 18.
