Badlands – Dora #65 IPA

THE BREWERY SAYS:

Dora is our exploratory series of beers where we mess around with anything/everything from ingredients to process.

For this version of Dora we wanted to try to reduce the amount of particulate that makes it from the kettle to the fermentor by employing a course filter before the heat exchanger. This did not work and we clogged it immediately.

So we bailed on that plan and pivoted to our plan for Dora 66 and decided to drop out particulate after 24hrs of fermenting. You can call this a pseduo double Dora in other words!

Bonus fun fact: this is the first and last Dora (65) that matches the abv of the beer (6.5).

We’re really impressed with this Dora. Sometimes small things can make a difference and this is one of the most expressive, citric and fruit forward versions of Dora to date!
